Alaron

Page history last edited by koilungfish 4 mos ago

Alaron was the first Cybertronian to fly - indeed, he is well remembered for having no feet and hovering rather than standing - and the first Cybertronian to leave Cybertron, travelling to the moons of Cybertron and further after the end of the war with the demons. He was the proudest of the Firstforged, loyal to nobody but himself. Alaron was the ninth of the Firstforged and is reputed to have demerged from the highest peaks of the Ugolen Voe. His spawnlings were called the Alarons and his line of descent the Alaricons.

It is believed Alaron left Cybertron during the Silver Age, possibly in search of Maximo, possibly simply to continue exploring the universe. Many Decepticons believe he is still alive and pray for his return, although Megatron is on record as having stated that one Starscream is bad enough, never mind his demigod primogenitor. Autobots consider him to have been the primogenitor of all flying Cybertronians, but many Primordialist Hunter-Seekers believe they themselves are the only ones to carry his true code.

The name "Alaron", meaning "winged chief", is a translation of the meaning of his name in Ancient Cybertronian. In Primaltongue he was called Fuyadihr meaning "this great thought of the air, I go". In Modern Autobot he is called Tisalacradax meaning "the stolen blizzard of star-spears" [i.e. "stolen meteor shower"]. This is because the pictoglyphs representing Alaron in the Primal Tome are badly damaged and it was not until the middle of the Brass Age that other fragments of Ancient Cybertronian were found giving his true original name. Alaron was known as "meteor shower" before this because the greatest aerial warrior that Cybertron had known to that date had been named Meteor, and it was felt that the primogenitor of the air warriors had to have a name of higher magnitude than this.

Tisalacradax is transliterated into Murion as Trosuba Wakayadrox, although the first part is usually dropped. Wakayadrox literally translates to "stolen blizzard of points". In High Legion he was known as Pe-a'tetomsa-ouiamasa, meaning "sorrow of fast motion glittering far away". The glittering of fast motion refers to Alaron's speed and the height of his flight. The far distance refers to his speed of flight and also his vanishing into space. The sorrow refers to both the Legascions' sorrow at his vanishing but also to the poetical sorrow of the beauty of fleeting light. In Modern Decepticon he is called Zapaunteklar, meaning "the rain lord, who left". It should be remembered that the acid rain other weather conditions of Cybertron make such a title as "rain lord" one implying great and terrible power.
