In the Primordialist mythology the Firstforged were the first thirteen Cybertronians who were created by Primus from his own body - the metal of Cybertron itself. The Firstforged were great leaders, innovators and warriors, who possessed the capacity to reshape their bodies in almost any way they chose. They could also create new life from their own substance - a process called budding - and thereby brought about the Second Generation. The spawnlings of each Firstforged formed separate races, precursors to the factions and build-lines of modern Cybertron.
Interpretations with a mind towards historical probability place the demerging of Prima in approximately KV 214 [50 million years ago] and the demerging of The Fallen in approximately KV 420 [32.9 million years ago]. More radical interpretations range from placing the demerging of the Fallen less than 12 million years ago, concurrent with the Builder Invasion, to placing the demerging of Prima hundreds of millions of years ago.
