The Grand Fleet is ruled by the Lord High Commander and is comprised of three sections; the Core Group, the Air Wing and Operations Command. The Grand Fleet numbers approximately six and a half million mechanisms, although numbers have fluctuated massively across the length of the Great War.
The Lord High Commander is the supreme commander of the entire Grand Fleet and Decepticon Empire and is also known as the Decepticon Emperor, Emperor of Cybertron or Commander of the Grand Fleet. Loyalists of the Air Wing sometimes address the Lord High Commander as the Grand Marshal. Rather strangely, he is sometimes also called Grand Admiral of the Imperial Fleet, although this seems to be a worshipful term of address used by aquatics with certain fixations. Sometimes also called the Overlord by those wishing to insult.
The Grand Fleet came into being as the Polyhexian army. After the Hermeun Reorganisation it became the Decepticon Battle Fleet. After the Fall of Kaon it became the Grand Fleet as it is now.
